From the beginning, you both (you and 116) were telling me that this song chakkani dAnA is in nOmu (I think you are the one who requested this song initially and then Surya uploaded it).. But I recently watched the movie on Teja and I don't see that song in the movie. Even before I never recalled that song from this movie.
Are you 100% sure that this is song is from nOmu? I will double-check with Surya as well.

From the beginning I was the one who was expressing doubts about this song in 'Nomu'. I have Nome movie with me, and this was not part of that movie. I am not sure if it was 116 or someone else who said this song is in 'Nomu'.

SP Balu himself told me that manasE jatagA song was not done by Sathyam. AVM was making two movies during that time: nOmu and Jaike Ko Taisa (A remake of bullemma-bullODu).
RD Burman came up with a wonderful tune in the context of kurisindi vAna song (ab ke saavan mei --> 17th song on http://www.chimatamusic.net/jeetendra.php). AVM folks really liked the song and they inserted the song in nOmu right away. When the song was mixed with Balu, Seseela voices, Sathyam was not even in the recording studio!!! |

After reading this, I have been listening to both "Abke saawan" and "Manase jathagaa" with more attention.
I feel it could not be just mixing voices of SPB and PS for "Manase jathagaa". I find that the rhythm for the charanams is markedly different (dholak/tabla) from hindi version. Somehow, I have the impression that the pace is faster in telugu and SPB, PS did a better job than KK and LM in hindi.

I missed it, I really wanted to see the picturization after listening to this song. When I saw this movie in 80s I didn't find this song. |
