If your Canon printer is not being detected on Windows 11, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Check the connections: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer. If you are using a USB connection, make sure the cable is securely plugged into both the printer and your computer. If you are using a network connection, ensure that the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
Restart the printer and computer: Power off your printer, unplug it from the power source, and also shut down your computer. Wait for a few minutes, then plug the printer back in and power it on. After that, turn on your computer again. This can help refresh the connection and resolve temporary issues.
Update printer drivers: Outdated or incompatible printer drivers can cause detection issues. Visit the Canon website and download the latest drivers for your printer model and Windows 11. Install the updated drivers and follow any on-screen instructions.
Run the Printer troubleshooter: Windows 11 has a built-in printer troubleshooter that can help diagnose and fix common printer issues. Open the Windows Settings by pressing Windows key + I, then go to "System" > "Troubleshoot". Under "Recommended troubleshooting", select "Printer" and follow the prompts to run the troubleshooter.
Check for Windows updates: Ensure that your Windows 11 operating system is up to date. Microsoft frequently releases updates that include bug fixes and driver updates. Open the Windows Settings, go to "Windows Update", and check for any available updates. Install any pending updates and restart your computer.
